The White Stoneware GE221 CHF is the versatile classic from Raoult & Beck, here with 20 % fine grog 0-0.5 mm. Its exceptionally wide firing range, from 1000 to 1280 °C, lets you move from a porous piece to a fully vitrified stoneware with the same clay, simply by adjusting the kiln curve. Type: White stoneware, 20 % fine grog 0-0.5 mm. Firing range: 1000-1280 °C. Colour: White when wet, ivory white once fired. Shrinkage: 8 % drying, 1.0 % at 1000 °C, 5.0 % at 1280 °C.   • Colour: White when wet, ivory white once fired.
  • Shrinkage: 8 % drying, 1.0 % at 1000 °C, 5.0 % at 1280 °C.
  • Water absorption: 13.4 % at 1000 °C, 2.2 % at 1200 °C, 0.4 % at 1280 °C.
  • Modulus of rupture: 3.4 N/mm2 when dry.
  • Packaging: Ready-to-use 10 kg plastic-wrapped block.
  • Uses: Throwing, sculpture, functional tableware, coloured glazes.

Wedge the clay before shaping, then dry slowly and evenly, away from draughts. Adapt the firing curve to the volume and thickness of your pieces, and always test the clay-slip-glaze combination before production. Store the block away from frost and drying out.
