The Noron Stoneware GE133 CHF is the Normandy red stoneware with 20 % fine grog 0-0.5 mm. The grain stays discreet under the hand but changes everything when drying: slabs no longer warp, assemblies hold, and the texture catches light better on sculpted work. Type: Noron red stoneware, 20 % fine grog 0-0.5 mm. Firing range: 1080-1150 °C. Colour: Red when wet, orange to red once fired. Shrinkage: 9 % drying, 3.5 % at 1000 °C, 6.0 % at 1150 °C. Wedge the clay before shaping, then dry slowly and evenly, away from draughts. Adapt the firing curve to the volume and thickness of your pieces, and always test the clay-slip-glaze combination before production. Store the block away from frost and drying out.
