The Noron Stoneware GE133 is the historic Normandy red stoneware from Raoult & Beck, with a sensitive grain and natural nuance. Its native iron oxide shifts the colour from terracotta to brick red then burgundy depending on temperature; its low firing range for a stoneware seriously cuts kiln costs. Type: Normandy Noron red stoneware, smooth without grog. Firing range: 1080-1150 °C. Colour: Red when wet, orange to red then burgundy once fired.   • Shrinkage: 9 % drying, 3.5 % at 1000 °C, 6.0 % at 1150 °C.

  • Expansion: 58 x10-7 (20-400 °C).
  • Packaging: Ready-to-use 10 kg plastic-wrapped block.
  • Uses: Throwing, functional tableware, sculpture, press moulding.

Wedge the clay before shaping, then dry slowly and evenly, away from draughts. Adapt the firing curve to the volume and thickness of your pieces, and always test the clay-slip-glaze combination before production. Store the block away from frost and drying out.
