The Beck Blanche FA323 is a clear, balanced earthenware, comfortable to shape and luminous once fired. Its batch consistency makes it a studio staple, for production throwing as much as for decorated pieces and traditional low-fire majolica. Type: Beck white earthenware, smooth without grog. Firing range: 980-1080 °C. Colour: White when wet, white once fired. Shrinkage: 6 % drying, 1.5 % firing (1000 °C). Water absorption: 12.8 % at 1000 °C. Expansion: 76 / 80 / 85 x10 -7 (20-400 / 500 / 600 °C). Packaging: Ready-to-use 10 kg plastic-wrapped block....

Wedge the clay before shaping, then dry slowly and evenly, away from draughts. Adapt the firing curve to the volume and thickness of your pieces, and always test the clay-slip-glaze combination before production. Store the block away from frost and drying out.
