The Beck Rouge FA240 CHF is a lively, authentic clay whose colour supports even the simplest forms. Prepared by Alsing milling then filter-pressing, it offers remarkable batch consistency; its 0-0.5 mm fine grog ensures healthy drying and a beautiful surface under light. Type: Beck red earthenware, fine grog 0-0.5 mm. Firing range: 980-1080 °C. Colour: Red when wet, orange once fired. Shrinkage: 6.4 % drying, 1.0 % firing (1000 °C). The Beck Rouge FA240 CHF is a lively, authentic clay whose colour supports even the simplest forms. Prepared by Alsing milling then filter-pressing, it offers remarkable batch consistency; its 0-0.5 mm fine grog ensures healthy drying and a beautiful surface under light.

Wedge the clay before shaping, then dry slowly and evenly, away from draughts. Adapt the firing curve to the volume and thickness of your pieces, and always test the clay-slip-glaze combination before production. Store the block away from frost and drying out.
