The Normande Rouge FA200 is a warm earthenware with an earthy tone, faithful to the traditional clays of Normandy. Grog-free, it captures deep relief and fine modelling detail with precision, making it a clay of choice for sculpture, medallions and decorative work. Type: Normandy red earthenware, smooth without grog. Firing range: 980-1080 °C. Colour: Red when wet, orange to red once fired. Shrinkage: 10 % drying, 2.0 % firing (1000 °C). Wedge the clay before shaping, then dry slowly and evenly, away from draughts. Adapt the firing curve to the volume and thickness of your pieces, and always test the clay-slip-glaze combination before production. Store the block away from frost and drying out.
