ProMarkers are high quality twin-tipped markers, combining unbeatable colour performance with outstanding value. They're ideal for all kinds of art and craft, including illustration, Manga and Comic Art, Rubberstamping, Scrapbooking... anywhere you need professional looking colour !

ProMarkers have two inbuilt nibs, fine and broad. The fine bullet tip is narrower, making it ideal for more precise detailing and line work.

The broad nib is great for applying large, even colour fills. Its chisel-shaped design means you can also use the nib edges to achieve different stroke widths.

ProMarker ink is alcohol based and the colours are formulated using the finest professional quality dyes. It's this formulation that makes the colour apply so evenly, giving you supremely smooth, consistent coverage with no unsightly streaking. With ProMarker, it's easy to achieve a flawless "print-quality" finish when colouring by hand.

Blending and Colour Depth

ProMarker colours have a translucent quality and can be layered to achieve varying depth and opacity. This makes them incredibly versatile in rendering light and shade, giving your work a real sense of depth and structure, whatever the subject matter. See below for some essential tips on how to blend and layer with ProMarker colour...

Blending Tips

Going over the same spot creates a darker tone of the same colour. The more layers you apply, the deeper the colour will appear, great for shading skin, clothing and hair.

If you overlay two different colours, they will merge to create a new colour.

Overlaying once the ink has fully dried will produce sharper, more distinct areas of tone.

Overlaying whilst the ink is still wet will create a softer transition between colours.

Using the ProMarker Blender

A colourless ProMarker Blender is available and can be used to help merge and blend your ProMarker colours together. Because alcohol based ink dries so fast, using the Blender can take a little practice. The key is to always lay down plenty of colour and work quickly - you'll want to keep the work surface as wet as possible.

A base coating of Blender applied to your paper before applying colour will keep the ink wetter for longer. This makes it easier to blend any colours applied on top and helps achieve smooth coverage. You can also use a pre-coat of Blender to make your colours appear more subtle and muted.

Blending Tips

Try using the Blender as a colour applicator... touch the tip of a coloured ProMarker against the tip of the Blender so that some colour transfers.

Then use the Blender to apply soft colour that will gradually diffuse as it flushes through the nib.

Alcohol based ink is permanent and extremely quick drying. This means ProMarker colour can be applied to a diverse range of surfaces including paper, card, glass, wood, plastic, etc... If applying ProMarker to a textured or porous surface like bare wood or textile, the ink will bleed outwards slightly so make allowance for this when working close to the edges...
